"Wow, Deer Den what a find, awesome accommodation in the country, perfect for our group of 4 couples. A super relaxing time star gazing from the wood fired hot tub and chilling by the fire pit. Fresh eggs a real treat for us townies from the resident hens. Everything you need indoors, extremely comfortable beds and super efficient host in Louise. So much to do on the doorstep from just walking out or a short drive away. We just wish we had booked for longer. We plan to be back. Many many thanks“

"You’ll simply love a stay at The Deer Den. Either if you’re wanting peace and tranquility to relax, or a base to explore and find activities for the family, The Deer Den is perfect. The Deer Den has the Wow factor. A stunning house inside and out which is enclosed in a large secure garden with beautiful views of the Devonshire countryside. It also has a wonderful hot tub, fire pit and 4 friendly hens laying tasty eggs for breakfast. We recommend the Blacksmiths Arms a short walk from The Deer Den), or The Five Bells serving great pub lunches and dinner. Louise and Jon are superb hosts, very welcoming and knowledgeable of the area."

We have just spent an amazing weekend at The Deer Den. The accommodation is absolutely excellent and really suited our party which consisted of three generations ( including 3 children under 6 years of age plus an infant) and two dogs. The garden was huge but more importantly very safe and secure for little ones and pets. The children loved looking after the chickens and waiting for new laid eggs! All the fixtures and fittings were brand new ( including equipment for the baby) and the duvets, pillows and bed linen were equivalent to a five star hotel. Louise, the host, provided fresh scones, local honey and Mead on arrival and lovely creamy Devon Milk and butter in the fridge. The information booklet was thorough and very helpful as were the directions to find the property. The communication via both email and WhatsApp could not have been better. The Deer Den is in the middle of nowhere and very private but surrounded by fields and lovely trees and ideal for country walks. The hot tub was great and really kept its heat and the hammocks and deck chairs were a lovely touch. We have stayed at many Airbnb premises in this country and abroad but by far this is the best accommodation we have stayed in. This was really special to us as we had waited almost two years for a family gathering. We all want to wish Louise and her family good luck for the future as this is their first season of having guests at The Deer Den and I am sure this venture will be hugely successful for them as it really is a fabulous and unique place to stay. Thank you so much for everything Louise."

"Brilliant 4 nights at the Deer Den. We were lucky enough to be the first ever guests and what a treat it was. Location is perfect, felt like we were in the middle of nowhere yet only a 30 minute drive from so many places. The accommodation itself was spot on, wonderfully finished, with some really lovely touches. The kids especially loved the chickens and the hot tub was a dream. Louise was a great host. Super clear communication before, during and after stay, including a detailed guide with lots of tips. Highly recommend a trip to the Deer Den."
