About us

Our holiday properties are situated on our farm in East Devon, which dates back hundreds of years.

Our family have farmed here for over 60 years, with one member still working here daily at 90 years old and recently recognised as a 'farming hero' in the national press and appearing in a programme on BBC TV. You may see him or one of the younger members of our family on our working farm when you stay here!

Information

All bedding and towels are provided for your stay. Beds in each property are configured according to your specific needs - each bedroom can be either superking double or two singles (please note, The Deer Den has one downstairs double bedroom which cannot be altered). A travel cot and high chair can be provided on request.

Farm tours are available on request.

Both properties have stairs. The Deer Den has one downstairs double bedroom next to the downstairs bathroom. The Grange does not have any downstairs bedrooms.

Honey is available for guests to buy from the honesty box on the lane. There are also handmade beeswax candles available to order.

Rules

Children particularly must be supervised at all times, particularly as they are around deep water, hot surfaces (hot tub and firepits) and farm animals.

No balloons, pets or items not intended for pool use are to enter the pool area at any time.

Guests using the pool and the hot tub facilities do so entirely at own risk.

Please note, there are no lifeguards on duty.

No dogs or puppies under one year old.

Pets must not be left alone in the house at any time and they must not be allowed on soft furnishings.

Please only use the logs provided in the hot tub and firepits. If any other materials are used in the hot tub this would cause irreparable damage.

We set the temperature on the thermostats in both houses to a pleasant ambient temperature. Please do not adjust these as it changes the programme.

As we are a working farm, please keep dogs on a lead at all times while out around the farm and please close all gates behind you.

There will be sights, smells and sounds in keeping with a working farm.

Please ensure you feed and water the chickens during your stay. Food is provided.

Please strip the bedding when you leave and leave all rubbish and recycling in the bins provided.

Check out is by 10 am on the day of departure.

There is to be no smoking in the properties at any time.
